Personal devices and the library

The library catalogue has be modified for easy access on android and iPhones.

There once was a time when patrons would arrive at the counter with a piece of paper with the call number of the book that they are looking for on it. Now they arrive with the catalogue in hand or a photo of the call number to collect an item from the reserve shelf.

One thing I noticed whilst on work placement was the amount of IT information you needed to know that was not directly involved with the library but was part of the client service.
